Our Story
How it began y'all
I had a slow month in the Denver Real Estate market around the Christmas 🌲 holidays of 2000 and began cooking fudge as a holiday idea, I was bored. Ruined the first three batches and was just about to give up and DECIDED ON – ONE MORE TRY!?!!? The batch didn’t look right because there was some liquid on the top. Soooo – I set the tray outside (it was snowing) on the patio and let it cool off during the night. Turns out the liquid was butter and it soaked in – to my surprise, and it tasted really good. Merry Christmas 🎅
For about the next seven years I just made chocolate and chocolate walnut fudge. Then lo and behold – around Christmas 🌲of 2007 I decided to try a white peppermint fudge
Moved to Temple, Texas in 2017 to settle in and maintain the homestead. Needed room for chickens 🐔, dogs 🐕, a big garden to grow 🤠 and to learn the art of usin Y’all.
Stayed with three flavors until 2019 and started adding to the cuisine for something to do – (bored again). Came up with a coffee bean and chocolate peanut butter flavor – had a lot of likes and requests for more. SOOOOO – Next came the business idea 🤠 – NILLA FUDGE Y’ALL!!!
Started the business on Valentine’s Day 💖 – and it went pretty good. Kept a lot of guys out of trouble that week with my special gift bags. And then y’all had to shut down for the next few months. WELLL – that got me a thinkin. Needed more flavors.
Sooooo – Holy Chocolate Fudge Batman 🦇
Now there are new family members on the homestead – Rum Praline, Dark Bourbon Cherry, Night Time Mint and Oreo Milkshake.
I do a lot of farmers/artisan markets and have had a lot of folks saying they love fudge but need sugar free. I messed with a few ideas and finagled a concoction for a low sugar fudge made with sugar free dark chocolate and also made one with walnuts. It ain’t sugar free but there ain’t a lot of sugar.
We have Holiday trays, can do weddings, birthday parties and last-minute gifts. AND FOR YOU GUYS OUT THERE – I will keep y’all out of trouble on birthdays, anniversaries and Valentines Day.
